One Vinyl Square, Hayes

JOSEPH HOMES SUBMIT DETAILED PLANNING FOR OLD VINYL FACTORY SITE

Last new-build plot in huge Hayes scheme set for residential scheme.

Preconstruct were recommended to Joseph Homes to support their detailed planning submission for the final new build plot at the Old Vinyl Factory, Hayes.

On the site of the 18-acre EMI record plant, where groundbreaking records by The Beatles and Pink Floyd were pressed, the one-of-a-kind neighbourhood is a mix of re-imagined Art Deco office buildings, new homes, innovation and educational hubs, restaurants, shops, gym, cinema and a live music venue.

Following our work on the successful 2012 outline permission alongside the master developer U+I, through recommendation we were approached to provide expert input into the Visual Impact Assessment and produce AVR Verified Views.

Long-established relationships with members of the consultant team, alongside previous experience with the site, helped us to deliver against a rapid submission schedule. Engagement with both the site management and local authority were key to successful and safe completion of field work. Importantly, developing an effective working relationship with the outstanding group of architects allowed for a smooth and effective production workflow.

The application was submitted in November 2019 with a decision expected in April.
