NEW RIVERSIDE STAND FOR FULHAM FC
Once again our verified images have proven a highly influential part of the planning process, this time at Fulham Football Club’s, Craven Cottage.
Planning consent was granted for a new riverside stand that will increase the overall stadium capacity from 25,000 to 30,000. It will also provide enhancements to the club’s hospitality facilities, as well as see the re-opening of the riverside walkway, which sits behind the existing stand, and has been shut for decades.
We worked closely with planning consultant Nathaniel Lichfield & Partners (NLP) who led the Townscape and Visual Impact Assessment (TVIA), and identified key viewpoints for our Accurate Verified Views (AVRs). The assessment covered areas of Fulham, Barnes and Putney – including five Conservation Areas – and also the Hammersmith to Putney stretch of the River Thames.
We collaborated with Architects KSS on the AVRs, which focussed primarily on the impacts to views along the River Thames. The views also incorporated both day-time and night-time assessment.
Planning consent was granted in July 2012.

“I really appreciated Preconstruct’s input to the Riverside Expansion project. The Team always reacted quickly and with professionalism, providing all the information required in a very limited timescale. The project is located in a very sensitive site along the river where the variation in light and reflection play a very important role. I believe they captured it very successfully.” Senior Project Architect, KSS.
